EXHIBIT DESCRIPTION
This exhibition will give an expression from some of the various companies carrying cargo and mail in and through the Levant region and adjacent areas. Stamps were already in use form maritime mail but he year 1875 was chosen for the introduction of adhesive revenue stamps in the Ottoman Empire and Greece for Bills of Lading ; receipts etc.
